There must have been instances when you wanted to broadcast a live feed through desktop computer on Facebook. A lot of you prefer the HD Webcams better than the experience of using the smaller mobile screens.

So here’s the good news! Starting today, people around the world can broadcast live video to Facebook from their desktop or laptop computers. Before this, it was only possible to go live on Facebook from a mobile device.

That’s not all! For gamers, Facebook is providing support for external hardware and streaming software such as OBS, Wirecast, and XSplit. Earlier, you could only use these tools when going live from a Page, but now this capability is available for profiles as well. This will let gamers and all Facebook users share their screens, insert graphics, switch cameras, or use professional equipment in their Facebook Live videos.

The procedure to start up a live broadcast from your computer is simple – just click ‘Live Video’ from the top of your news feed, then follow the prompts on the screen to add a description and choose your audience. So get started and have a fantastic weekend with Facebook’s new addition!
