EDaura, the Revolutionary Educational Platform to Make an Impact at Mobile World Congress Shanghai

Mobile devices have become an essential part of our everyday lives. The expansion of digital space and bridging of digital divide has shrunk the formal learning space, bringing in planned and quality structured learning on mobile phones.

While learning on mobiles is expected to revolutionize the classrooms worldwide, there are yet significant numbers of teachers and students who fail to take advantage of this modern revolution due to technological complexities. As such, EDaura, an education software platform designed to give teachers a simpler and intuitive e-learning system was launched in early 2016. EDaura is a teacher-centric mobile app offering the right mix of features that empower teachers & improves productivity. It aims to make teaching flexible, self-paced and self-directed.

Established with a serious intention to revolutionize the education system, EDaura has managed to finalize a three year deal with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), where teachers working in some of the world’s toughest learning environments will soon get access to EDaura’s app. The startup is also chosen to represent Jordan at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai this year that runs from 29th of June to 1st July. Zain Jordan along with Manaseer Group and Intaj have partnered together to make the Jordan Pavilion in MWC Shanghai 2016 possible. For the first time in the Mobile World Congress, there will be a Jordan Pavilion with 9 Jordanian Startups present.

Unlike complex mobile learning systems, EDaura’s software is designed to be a simple, bottom-up platform that can be eventually scaled. EDaura’s platform consists of five basic features- a course builder, a chat function, a calendar, a resource library and an assignment portal. Additionally, EDaura is cloud enabled and has a mobile app.

With a vision to help teachers engage with the students on the go, EDaura’s participation at the Mobile World Congress is a positive step to bring about change in the education system. The Mobile World Congress is Asia’s biggest mobile industry event – where thousands of visionary leaders and tech-savvy consumers gather to experience a connected life.
