Jordanian Pavilion Stir Interest for Visitors at the Second Day of the Mobile World Congress Barcelona


The Jordanian Pavilion at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) – Barcelona which runs from February 27 to March 2, 2017 witnessed huge crowds on the second day of the gigantic tech show. The Jordanian Pavilion at MWC is sponsored by Zain Group in collaboration with ICT Association of Jordan (int@j), Manaseer Group, Jordan Tourism Board, Jordan Competitiveness Programme, Qattous Group and Luminus Group.

Zain Group, the leading mobile telecom innovator was awarded for its ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Mobile Industry Awards’ for 2017 based on the work the telecom company undertakes around the region to assist and improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable sectors of the society at the prestigious forum.

With a total of 21 Jordanian companies taking part in the international event, the second day of the MWC observed outstanding achievements and remarkable deals for the Jordanian start-ups. One of the start-ups called Bee Labs had the opportunity to sign a remarkable deal with two major clients followed by REPZO who was offered leads from Dubai and Russia.

In addition, the Zain Group and Zain Kuwait visited the Jordanian Pavilion and recognized the efforts of the participating start-ups. The budding entrepreneurs also had a chance to be a part of Tech Crunch Meet-Up where several start-ups had an opportunity to present and pitch their ideas and business models to a reputable panel of judges. Three start-ups were recognized as winners and awarded free tickets to Berlin.

That’s not all, visitors to the Jordanian Pavilion also had a chance to participate in a raffle competition and win free tickets to a holiday in Petra. Many of the products and technologies taking center stage at the MWC this year involve some aspect of consumer and content technology other than mobile phones.

The Jordanian companies participating at MWC Barcelona are Globitel, loquat, MenaITech, Snackable News, A Minute Marvel, Audiogram, Bilforon, Mind Rockets, Bee Labs, Cash Basha, and many more.

The Mobile World Congress is a biggest mobile industry event – where thousands of visionary leaders and tech-savvy consumers gather to experience a connected life. More than 2,200 companies are exhibiting at Mobile World Congress 2017.
