Many were shocked when Princess Diana died in a car accident 20 years ago. Some were questioning, was it really an accident or was foul play involved? Veteran filmmaker and actor Keith Allen thinks it’s the latter. The thought that foul play was involved drove him to investigate more and come up with the documentary “Unlawful Killing.”
This film is about Princess Diana’s death and how British officials and some members of the royal family covered up the truth about it. According to Allen, the documentary film is also backed by Mohammed Fayed, father of Dodi Fayed who was killed in the car with Princess Diana.
“Unlawful Killing” was shown at the Cannes Film Festival generated much controversy that Keith Allen was very much aware of it. “Screening this film in Cannes for the world’s media will be both exhilarating and terrifying for me,” he told Guradian. He also cited that there was a conspiracy involving judges, politicians, secret services, police chiefs and newspaper editors in covering up the true events behind Princess Diana’s death.
The documentary also showed real photos of Princess Diana as she lay dead in the Paris tunnel where their car crashed. But due to its graphic content the film wasn’t shown in the British cinemas.
If you are ready to delve behind Princess Diana’s death, don’t pass up “Unlawful Killing.”
