The 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was a glittering affair. Swamped with the who’s who of the tinsel town, SAG Awards was a remarkable event.
Kevin Spacey from House of Cards’ Fame was awarded the best actor in a drama series. While Spacey accepted the award with humility, he addressed his achievement through theory of relativity. He stated that it was an overwhelming experience to feel the kick of experiencing the high. Expressing his gratitude to the show’s creator Beau Willimon and his co-stars, Spacey was a deserving fit at the SAG Awards.
Queen Latifah was next in line for an honor. The energetic actress was awarded an honor for her performance in a TV movie or a miniseries for her work in Bessie. Known for her frankness and straight-forwardness, the talented actress accepted the award with a heart-warming speech.
Last, but not the least, our all-time favorite Leonardo DiCaprio won his first-ever Screen Actors Guild award for his role as the 19th-century fur trapper Hugh Glass in The Revenant. Though the actor had multiple SAG nominations over the years, his first win at the starry event was a perfect moment of joy and ecstasy!
