A report by data company D’Marie Analytics suggests that the former Disney channel heartthrob rules the social media circuit with more than 180.8 million fans across social media platforms. As per D’Marie, Gomez is worth $550,000 per social media post when the messaging appears across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This valuation is based on D’Marie’s algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-thru and potential to create sales conversions from her social content.
While this puts Gomez a step ahead of influential media moguls like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Beyoncé, it also showcases the young entertainer’s strategy of working smart. Gomez has deals with Pantene, Coca-Cola and Kmart, however, she endorses only those brands that she can relate to. She understands that overdoing ad campaigns is just going to ruin her goodwill.
With an average of 200,000 new followers a day, the young pop singer has both the most Instagram followers — 90 million — and the most liked picture — it boasts 4.6 million likes — in the image-sharing app’s history.
