‘Drag Me Down’ Hits Number 3 on the Billboard and Liam Payne’s Confession of Homophobia

One Direction’s song ‘Drag Me Down’ debuted number 3 at the Billboard Hot 100 last week, as much as exciting this is; Liam Payne had to ruin it.

After the astonishing success they’ve had since 2010, Zayne Malik leaving the band wasn’t the only tragic situation these boys are going to be busy with on the weekend. Liam Payne, the described as “the guy with the short hair” or as their fans call him “hottie” -they call all of them hotties- surprises everyone with his homophobia.

As twitter became a powerful tool that may make you popular in a good way or popular in a horrific way, Payne took his opinion to the world by commenting on one of his recent One Directions shows that was misconstrued.

“This is my favorite song off the last album, and it is about trying to find that number one woman of your life, which none of you can relate to, ’cause most of you are girls. Except for the boys in here, you know what I’m talking about,”

The 1/5 of one direction told the crowd when introducing the song “Girl Almighty”.

And so he tweeted: “lol think some people take things to literal these days not gunna comment on it anymore you guys know what I meant it was meant in general,”

And as all celebrities do after every tiny mistake, the ‘repair apology tweet’: “I am in no way shape or form homophobic that’s a ridicules thing to say and I’m not here to offend people so take it as you will.”
