Paris Hilton was stopped by immigration officials at Narita Airport, Tokyo when she arrived on Tuesday, just a day after she pleaded guilty to cocaine charges in Las Vegas. She was given a two six-month suspended jail terms by a Las Vegas court on Monday for cocaine possession and consequently lying about it but proceeded to declare that she would be locked up for a year if arrested again.
Jiji news reported that the officials were thinking of refusing her entry when she arrived at Narita by chartered flight due to the suspended sentence given because of the charges. According to the Narita branch immigration control office, a person with a suspended sentence was not allowed to enter Japan except for “special reasons”.
Paris, together with her sister, Nicky, was in Japan for the promotion of her original brand for handbags and accessories which was scheduled on Wednesday. The event was reportedly cancelled.
Apparently, the event was not special enough to grant Paris entry to Japan.
