The famous actor, Sir Anthony Hopkins, didn't mince his words when it came to talking about Paris Hilton and models. He's in a dilemma on what the world is coming to after the creation of some kind of a monster. I think the monster he's actually referring to is not just Paris Hilton but the modelling business in general.
These comments were brought out of him because of his great surprise at what he saw during his visit to a store to buy his wife some clothes to be gift-wrapped. It so happened that there was a huge plasma screen nearby that showed models strutting their stuff on the catwalk. He described them as "anorexic, walking like machines, no soul."
I don't know why he zeroed in on Paris Hilton but, this was what he said about the heiress, "You look at the red carpet, Paris Hilton, you know, these people and you think, "Is there anything going on up there?" It's a mass enslavement and it's kind of fascism. And it's the androgyny of it; the androgyny of the human soul. I don't think people think any more. But maybe I'm just old."
Is he trying to call Paris stupid in an indirect way? That is seriously going to piss her off and I think he should have kept his harsh opinion to himself.
The 21st century sure did bring a massive change to the world. Society became harsher, which means more pressure on all the generations, especially on girls. However, it doesn't mean that these girls and women walk around without a soul.
What do you guys think? Do you agree with Hopkins?
