Donia Hamed and Sara Al-Khouly Egypt’s 2010 Beauty Queens

Miss Egypt 2010

On July 7 2010, in Cairo, two of Egypt’s prettiest girls were crowned Miss Egypt universe and Miss Egypt world. Out of a myriad of beautiful contestants, Donia Hamed and Sara AL-Khouly won the titles. The first runner-up is Mira Khalil and the second runner-up is Asmaa Abdelmawgou.

Donia Hamed a dazzling 22 year old that is currently studying finance in the American University of Sharga (AUS) won the title of Miss Egypt Universe 2010. She was crowned by Elham Wagdi, Miss Egypt Universe 2009. Donia Hamed is 5'10" tall, and will compete at Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant to be held in Las Vegas, USA on August 23.

Whilst Sara Al-Khouly another stunning contestant won the tiara for Miss Egypt World 2010, Sara is 21 years old. She was crowned by Samah Shalaby, Miss Egypt World 2009. Sara Al-Khouly is 5'9" tall and will represent Egypt at the Miss World 2010 contest in Sanya, China.

Both contestants are quite exquisite, and hopefully will bring an international title back home. However, I am a bit confused, why are two girls elected instead of one? Can someone verify that please?

What do you think of the winners? Are you glad they won or do you think they do not represent Egyptian beauty?
