Although some disapprove, it’s a known fact that music and politics will forever be intertwined and the recent boycotting of Jordan Music Festival is a prime example of this. Lebanese artist Elissa was supposed to be performing in Jordan but then the Artist’s union in Lebanon apologized to the Jordanian union saying that she will be unable to perform. The reasons are based on a rumor that claims that the organizing company has Israeli connections and that they even organized concerts in Israel for their 60th anniversary!

This is the 8th week of Super Star 5 and tonight another finalist will leave.
Who will stand in the danger zone this time?
Oh! No danger zone tonight! They’re only 5 contestants and there’s no need for a danger zone any more!
So, the unlucky finalist to get voted off by receiving the least of votes is Lebanese contestant Diana Sharaneq! Hard Luck Ya Diana!

Star Academy Latest Photos (From season 1 to 5)

• Lebanese singer Rayan has revealed in a recent interview that he’d love to perform a duetto with Najwa Karam or Nancy Ajram.
He also said that the new generation of female singers aren’t really singers. There are lots of so-called singers who rely on their bodies for fame, like Maria! While there are few who really have voices like Yara!

• Moroccan singer Hasna has finished shooting her latest video clip for her single ‘Youm fil Omr’. She is also working on the final touches of her latest album with Rotana.

• Stars cash in a lot of money for taking part in ads and commercials.
The latest is Nawal Al Zoghbi, who has signed a contract with a Kuwaiti company to star in their ad campaign. How much will she get? An easy 450.000 bucks!

• Fairuz will be back to grace the Egyptian stage once again for the first time in 20 years!
Fairus will hold a huge concert at the foot of the pyramids on the famous Sight and sound stage.
She has also asked the organizers to be clear that anyone attending the concert be dressed in formal suits and gowns!

You definitely still remember the Kuwaiti Starac 5 contestant Khaled Bou Skaher and his famous Hamurgeti song!

Well, he was present at the Starac 6 casting in Kuwait and was there with a bunch of his friends and met with Wadih abi Raad. He revealed that he does miss his fun days inside the academy, but also says that the show has lost its glam and isn’t as fabulous as the first few seasons!

In the nest episode of Scoop on MBC1, both presenters Raya and Najla will be holding exclusive interviews with Arab and International stars.
Najla will kick off the episode with an interview with Pop star Ragheb Alamah, who will talk about his new album 'Baashaak' which has been delayed for a very long time.
She will also have a sit with Abdallah Balkher!

As for Raya, she's going to be talking to Will Smith about his latest movie Hancock.
As for her exclusive interview, it will be with Tom Cruise. she's going to ask him about his movie Lions for Lambs. Tom will also mention a bit about Katie Holmes and daughter Suri.

I guess i'll be tuning in to MBC on Wednesday at 7 pm GMT and if you're interested, tune in too! It sure sounds like an interesting show!

The prime kicked off with a song by guest of honor, Iraqi Majid El Mouhandes. He also sang a couple of songs throughout the prime.
This time the remaining finalists sang two songs, one of their choice and one recommended by the judges.
Elie Bitar was the first to go on stage and he started off with Samra ya Samra by Karem Mahmoud.
He did good and got four green lights! Congrats!
The second contestant to get up on stage and sing was Abdel Majid Ibrahim and he sang Ma Btifrahsh by Shireen. He did well and also got four green lights. Congrats!
The third contestant to take to the stage was Asma Al Jabiri. She sang Harramt Ahebak by Wardah.
She did very good and got four green lights as well. Congrats!
